I Just Finished The Filthy Mind of Brian Azzarello

Maybe I am wrong John, but he doesn't seem like a man of many words. He certainly had interesting things to say, but it seemed like you were carrying the conversation and having to coax things out of him. I am curious if you felt that way at all? I couldn't believe that the interview went on for over an hour. What he did say, I found interesting. His Maurice Clarett/Paris Hilton pitch for Filthy Rich definitely piqued my curiousity. When you guys were talking about Vertigo, and what Marvel had done to compete with it, I felt like the Icon line got overlooked a little. Some of the things that Brian brought up could fall into the Icon imprint. His story in that crime collection from Dark Horse was fantastic. Thanks for another interesting interview. Wordballoon is my favorite thing to listen to on my IPod.

"Brian Bendis is one of the most profane and potty-mouthed people I know. The saltiness of the language that comes out of his brain makes Scarface blush. I mean, you can't imagine the stuff he says. Stuff like "#$%^knuckle" or "Monkey #($*%&^%!" Oh and then there's "Your Mother's @#$%^% cystic #$%^%!" I mean who thinks of these things?"-Joe Quesada

    thanks zac.

azz is a man of few words, but still a great guy to talk with. it's like he said at the start of our talk.

he says, "my stories are boring.", meaning he doesn't do well with annectdotes, but i think once we relaxed, he was great, and had a lot to say.

You did a great job of keeping the conversation going even when it seemed like he didnt think he had much to say.
