Recommend me new comics...

So, I don't really read comics monthly anymore. I get trades and stuff, but I want to branch out. Really I just want some more stuff to put on my Xmas list...

So, recommend me a series. It has to have at least one TPB, preferably a stand alone series that isn't mixed up with a ton of continuity.

As some reference, I have read and loved YTLM, Ex, Runaways, I Kill Giants, Ultimate Spiderman.

I have a lot of trades, I'm mostly looking for recent series, maybe indie. Doesn't have to be Superhero, but I don't mind that either.

Recent series I'd say go for Waid's Irredeemable. It's awesome.
