Guitar Hero or Rock Band

I'm going to get one of these for my kids (and me, I guess). I am the only person on earth who has never played either of these. Which to get?

Rock band, Rock Band, Rock Band.

More to the point Rock Band 2.

The DLC library alone is worth the price of admission.

Plus with kids you won't have to worry about swapping out 14 different discs to get to different songs.

I like Guitar Hero 5 I think it's the best of the GH games, BUT their DLC is very lacking, and you can't access a lot of the content from the older discs like you can with Rock Band 2.

For starting out Rock Band is easier but I prefer Guitar Hero.

Rock Band. Better song selection in the basic game, better-constructed controllers, and if you have the ability to download extra content, you will never want for more songs to play.

I guess I should have asked which console you have.

Because if you have a PS2, then ignore 90% of what I said above, because there is no DLC for that console.

I recommed Rock Band because they have an entire game dedicated to The Beatles! You're kids like The Beatles, right? Because if not, then you have let them down as a father.

Tuesday actually.

And all the songs import into Rock Band 2.

OR Lego Rock Band can use about 80% of the Rock Band DLC(it goes through a filter to take out the more 'adult' themed songs).
