My 21-year old sister told on me this morning

So last night my friend wanted to come over after we were out for drinks. We have a strange on again off again relationship going. So she comes over my parent's place and we make-out and cuddle a bit. It ends up 6 AM and I realize she's kinda gotta go. Not kicking her out, but it's an awkward breakfast, right? My Mom doesn't get home until 7:00ish, so no biggie.

I didn't remember that my 21-year-old sister was working this afternoon. So I get my friend out and my sister sees and promptly tells me that my Mom would be pissed. So naturally, I assume she'll be "telling," so I planned on just telling my Mom that she came over to watch TV and we fell asleep. I'm twenty-fucking-four for the record.

Well, my sister couldn't wait to break the news, so she called her and told. Now, my Mom is pissed because we have a 15-year-old sister and my Mom doesn't want her racing to have sex. I get that. But the blatant hypocrisy is that the 21-year-old stays over her boyfriend's parents place at least once a week.

I just can't believe that at 21, you can still "tattle" on a sibling over something so tiny. I really need my own place.

You might have an argument, but you are in their house. If you pay rent, then you can argue that you're a tenant and don't have to live by "son rules". If not you have got to respect it.

I think this is one of those things where it's easier to see from the outside.

I'm not really upset that my Mom's upset. I see her side. I'm just pissed that my sister would do that at her age. It's not even like she and I have been fighting and this is payback for something I did. This is just her being a bitch.
