Don't know what to think of this.
Feels like Hollywood execs won. I'd rather he did a new sci-fi film than return to a franchise.

Words of wisdom...
Space Jockeys?
I remember back in the Alien/Blade Runner day, when he said he wanted to be the John Glenn of science fiction.
I long ago came to accept that the dumbest things will come out of his mouth, and as long as he keeps directing the way he does, it doesn't really matter.
aka Medieval Guy
I remember his commentary during the credits of Alien in the box set, he said even back then that he would be willing to return to the franchise to look at the origins of the derelict ship. He hated the idea of Aliens vs Predator (which he thought was a Frankenstein vs. Wolfman dead end for the series), and I figured that would kill any plans for him to return (or maybe that was James Cameron?). Anyway, Alien and Blade Runner are my favorite and best-looking Sci-Fi films, so I am thrilled with this news. Keep the CGI to a bare minimum, please.
Aliens (the sequel) is my favorite movie, Action Sci-fi with awesome charaters. Always hated what they did with the others. Newt and Hicks dying offscreen, totally voiding the second movie. Aliens taking on the genetics of whatever they were birthed from, the 'pregnant' and then half breed Aliens from 4. The Aliens vs Predator movies could have been great, the first comic set on Ryushi was fantastic.
I have my fingers crossed that this will be a good one. And totally agree, less CGI. Do it old school.
