New WB Gerry Conway
Gerry Conway is back writing comics. The man who gave birth to the Punisher and took the life of Spider-Man's first love Gwen Stacy is here to discuss his current DC mini series The Last Days Of Animal Man.
We'll talk about his return to comics, and look back at collaborations with artists like Gil Kane, John Romita and Ross Andru.

"Brian Bendis is one of the most profane and potty-mouthed people I know. The saltiness of the language that comes out of his brain makes Scarface blush. I mean, you can't imagine the stuff he says. Stuff like "#$%^knuckle" or "Monkey #($*%&^%!" Oh and then there's "Your Mother's @#$%^% cystic #$%^%!" I mean who thinks of these things?"-Joe Quesada
Mr. Conway sounds like a true gentleman.
I also hope you get the chance to talk with him again at a later time. I just googled his resume and it's just impresive. You have material there for at least a dozen other WB.
Great job!!
Great interview John. I could have listened to him talk about his career for another hour easily. I hope you do get him back on soon. It was interesting hearing about his recollection of the events that led to the death of Gwen Stacy and his feelings about the character. That is the first time I have ever heard anyone talk about Gwen in that perspective.

I loved this episode to bits, great job John and Gerry! I especially liked the insights into Gwen Stacy and what happened behind the scenes. I hope you have him on again soon.
Absolutely fascinating and a true gentleman of the business. He has so many great stories I am really looking forward to his next interview. The Gwen Stacy stuff and his opinion of Watchmen and Alan Moore's approach to comics movies was really interesting. I will definitely take a look into his Animal man book. I also remember Bendis said in one of the Bendis Tapes episodes about working with TV and how small a percentage of the original material ends up on screen. Whereas with comics writers, its 99% their material all the time. Good thing Bendis still has the energy to put up with that and hopefully we'll see Powers on TV soon.
