Ive been in a Type O Negative mood... their covers of Cinnamon Girl and Summer Breeze... and Crowbar covering Dream Weaver...

Got any other sludge metal covers you can suggest that might fit in those veins?

Weird thing Ive found out while trying to find new stuff in the genre... Acid Bath has gone from a bunch of punk kids I used to hang around with to an extremely influential band.. WTF? I used to get kicked out of the bowling alley with those guys just about every Friday night...

Isn't crap like that so weird? I have a friend who threw Sully Erna (from Godsmack) out of his tattoo shop years ago. Sully gave him one of those shaking fist, "You'll be sorry someday, when I'm fucking famous!" moments on the way out.

Last we saw him, he was rolling through town in this gigantic effing pickup truck (compensating for anything, he asked, knowingly), tricked out to the nines. Probably bought it with pocket change. Guess he knew what he was talking about back then.

I don't know if it's precisely "metal," but for the sludge part of it, Killdozer do a cover of Cinnamon Girl that's awesome as hell.

i loved when they used to do In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida...i remember buying their demo before they got signed.
