    Official Star Wars EU Thread

This is a great time to be a Star Wars comics fan as the summer will offer 5 different books: (starting in chronological order) Knights of the Old Republic, Clone Wars, Dark Times, Invasion, and Legacy.
This is a perfect jumping on point to all of the comics.
    - Legacy is starting a new arc next issue with Cade returning to Tatooine which will hopefully make him face his legacy- if you haven’t been reading, Cade is in a really bad way right now, making poor, selfish decisions- according to Ostrander and Duurseema- he is a a jedi meets Han Solo. This seems apt to me as well. This is the best of the books, imo.
    - KOTOR will be starting a new arc as well after a one-shot focusing on Malek and Revan. Lots of threads are started with this series and the payoff is coming.
    - Dark Times is one issue in to the current storyline- good start with one of my favorite rogue jedis- Das Jennir. This book also offers plenty of Vader and Emperor- the last issue especially helped build their relationship.
    - Clone Wars- new arc starts with the next issue. If you like the cartoon, you will like this series.
    - Invasion- starts in July and covers the Yuuzhan Vong Invasion. Anyone who read NJO should try this book.

Legacy and Dark Times are my two favorites, but all have something to offer.
Hopefully enough people are reading these books to keep a discussion thread going.

    And now……discuss.

    I approve of this thread.

Let's not forget the Fate of the Jedi series from Del Rey, either. Outcast is already out and Omen is set for next month. So far I think the two books are off to a tremendous start and the storyline just 'feels' more like a Star Wars book a lot more than some of the more recent efforts.

    And in October.....Death Troopers.

Haven't started Outcast yet; I'm finishing Legacy of the Force right now- I'm on the last book. Hoping to get to Outcast next week. Have you read Shadows of Mindor yet? Still on my list- I love Stover.

I've been on a bit of a Star Wars kick lately. I picked up 65 Star Wars novels and have read all but 10 of them. And now I am trying to get the comic collections. Right now I have 4 of the 30th Anniversary HC Collections and I gotta get 'em all!

I'm curious what people thought of Legacy. I think the story had a lot of moments of coolness with the turn to the dark side and some neat character moments but as a whole it didn't really click for me. I think the newer series is off to a better start but we'll see how it turns out.

I enjoyed Shadows of Mindor. It was a fun on off and I do enjoy the 'earlier' adventures of those characters. Not a fan of Shadowspawn though. And yeah, Stover rocks!

I didn't realise the European Union even had a space missile program. This superstate integration has gone way too far now.

I really liked the beginning, and I liked the relationship between Jaina and Boba Fett ( I would like more Karen Travis Mandalore stories- her short story with Boba and Nom Anor was phenomenal). I don't like how they handled
    Spoilers:
Jacen turning. I don't like that we have taken three great characters: Jacen, Jaina, Anakin, and Tahiri for that matter and reduced them to one likeable (or alive) character.
Much untapped potential wasted. I will officially post after I finish the end.

    I just want to say
Will Munny: All right, I'm coming out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.

I think Karen has some more Mandalore stories in the works. Not positive though.

And yes, I think people tend to go a little overboard with trying to do these deaths as a way to make the story important when the story can still be important with the character left alive at the end.
