Listened to the first couple of tracks on the way home from work. So far, it's definitely more interesting than the last couple of albums. I'm still not sure if it's going to be enough to reignite my interest in the band in any lasting way.
It's a definite turn from Stand Up, much more upbeat and musically adventurous (IMO). And this is coming from someone who enjoyed Stand Up.
It's growing on me, even moreso since I saw them perform the tracks live during the concert on Monday. I can't really pick a favorite yet.
Why do you still have signatures turned on?
Really enjoyed a few tracks, but on a whole need to get a little more familiar with it before I can decide how I really feel. Pretty good but not exactly what I was hoping for. After a few more listens I'll know it better and can give a better opinion. Spaceman (I think it was called) really grabbed my attention.

Spaceman's excellent. A couple of the songs do take some getting used to before you really find all the nuances and everything in them. I really admire the way, right after LeRoi's solo, Shake Me Like A Monkey grabs you by the collar and doesn't let you go.
That, Time Bomb, Squirm, and Alligator Pie currently sit as my favorites, although I can't discriminate yet.
If you get a chance, watch them performing some of it live: http://www.hulu.com/watch/75477/dave...beacon-theatre
For a long time, the Central Park Concert has reigned as my favorite live DMB concert, but I think Beacon has tied it, if not surpassed it.
