coming from radio, i never get too sentimental about "hey it's my 5oth, or 100th show.." most radio hosts do over 250 shows per year...but when it's a truly big number, i'll take note.
This week (Thursday) wordballoon crossed the 1 million mark in downloads.
In just under 4 full years (June 2005) That's pretty good (not adan carolla good, but for a guy talking about comic books, I think it's significant.)
The numbers are really higher, it doesn't include the first year of dowloands from my old rss feed , but here we are.
thanks to everyone who helped make this possible, and we're on are way to the next million.
Congrats John! Every person I've recommended the show to ends up getting hooked on Word Balloon.
So, does it mean there is over a million comic book fans out there or just the same small group constantly downloading?
Congrats on a well deserved accomplishment John. WB was my first podcast I ever listened to and I have been hooked ever since.
"Brian Bendis is one of the most profane and potty-mouthed people I know. The saltiness of the language that comes out of his brain makes Scarface blush. I mean, you can't imagine the stuff he says. Stuff like "#$%^knuckle" or "Monkey #($*%&^%!" Oh and then there's "Your Mother's @#$%^% cystic #$%^%!" I mean who thinks of these things?"-Joe Quesada
I think my first podcast was a couple of years ago.
Congratulations! Good job, John.
In a way, this news is not surprising. In other words: Congratulations.
