It's probably good that I'm away from home then - I've been successfully resisting its siren song so far!!

It will always be debatable. Messi has big advantages over the others: the globalization of the european championships and the internet/youtube. His conquests are seen by more people. Some of those didn't follow football before.

However, he isn't a showman as Maradona was, neither will have the numbers or conquests Pelé had.

Plus, those two were able to play in small teams and make them great. Barça doesn't rely as much in Messi.

Used to be a big fan of Manager games until the developers started layering on more and more levels of detail. When it began to take more than the length of a season to play a season then I gave up

    Yeah, same here.
Admittedly, I haven't tried one since probably around 2008-09. So I'm willing to give this a shot.

If it was a Friday or weekend, I'd be there... but I'd have to miss 2 days of work for it. =/

What a strange time for football fans.

You get Messi trying to become the greatest player of all times, you have Robbie Van Persie scoring almost one goal per game, you have Neymar scoring ridiculous goals all the time, you have CR7.

I don't remember when the best players were so above the rest of them.

Some think it's awesome, but I'm afraid it will become like tennis where the top 3 are almost unbeatable.
RVP is on fire. Arsenal better give him some serious money this summer. Whatever he wants, I say double it. Of course they might not be able to afford him if they don't qualify for the Champions League next year.

Fox Soccer just announced they've picked up the rights to Scottish Premier League. They'll be showing the Old Firm match on the 25th, assuming Rangers are still around, of course.
