Best comics I read this month

Because not enough people talk about good comics they read, I'll try to shoot one of these out once a month.

Best written comics right now. Locke and Key, Batman Canaphony, 1001 Arabian Nights: Sinbad, Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk, and all Buffy season eight books. Go get em!

I have no idea what "the mad notes" means, but I shall assume that it means "tha bomb diggity."

That's the best comic I've read in the past 12 months. Probably one of the 10 best comics I've read- ever.

I expected more from Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine. Half the issue was pretty much a glorified recap of the first two issues that came out ages and ages ago. Kevin Smith's Batman book ended with kind of a 'thud' too, but I did dig his rather... Sexually perverse, oily take on the Joker.

I haven't read many good new comics lately that are leaping to mind at the moment. It's looking like we're going through a bit of a lull period within the industry. It's either that, or I'm just not looking in the right places.

Well, actually the latest Scott Pilgrim was pretty great...

I'll go look at my shelves and think on it a bit more.

No. Not really. The only thing of his I've read that's stuck with me is his Legion of Superheroes story over in Action.

Probably the best thing he's ever written.

Not since his big run on Flash. His work just hasn't been the same for me.
