But Drive had a cool commercial with people forced to drive and a secret conspiracy and guns with hot chicks, AND wasn't it following American Idol or something?

Granted, I didn't watch it, but I thought others definitely would.

If you want to be high concept, you need to give people a reason to watch it. Mixing the currently unpopular areas of Westerns and stuff in space and giving a cast of unknowns? Not the best way to do it.

That show brought me back to 100% full geekitude after over years of repressing my inner geek. For the longest time, I tried to cultivate a hip, designer-clothes-wearing, serious-thinking (you know, thinking about mutual funds, mortgage rates, etc., and supporting art galleries) type of guy, but then, I rented Firefly, and my inner geek just exploded through those thick layers of repression.

It was like throwing a pedophile into a playground full of preschoolers.

I looooove that show.

I have yet to meet somebody who has seen the entire series and doesn't have in their Top 3 TV experience of all time. And I'm not a fan of westerns or sci-fis.

It's the gorram shiniest show in the 'verse for me. Abd I pity those who have still to find serenity.
