"Real" names for pets. Just wrong?

My mom always named our dogs after food, ingredients and spices.

We've had Ginger, Muffin, Chipper (chocolate chips), Pepper, Mocha and Cocoa.

In fact...Muffin and Cocoa have both been repeats...2 Muffin dogs 15 years apart and we had a Cocoa cat when I was a kid and they have a dog now with the same name.
