    Anyways....

Punisher Warzone #6 - Great, fun, crazy Ennis and Dillion at their best. I want to own that splash page. As a whole this mini-series was an 8/10.

FC # 7 - I got most of it and really, it just wasn't that great. I'm sure it would help to reread it all in the authors intended order, but I still feel like it didn't deliver simply because it was too murky. I can see why some think it's brilliant, but on a simple level, it's just not a story I could invest myself into. This issue was 5/10 and as a series probably 6/10.

Avengers Initiative: finally, a book at Marvel that is perfectly suited to Ramos' work! I loved it here. The problem I have with Ramos is that he gets put on a book like X-Men where characters I've become visually familiar with for a couple decades get worked through his lense, and so I think, say, Wolverine looks really goofy all of a sudden. But in the Initiative, he's handling B and C characters with perfectly ridiculous powers and the like, and it just works. His off-the-wall stylization (which I used to love in Crimson) meets thematically with the off-the-wall plotting and charactization of the book.

Loved it. Great fit. Finally, a book I'd love him to stick around on for a while.

Two Nays, and one yeah, I don't know what to say.

The two Batman issues that Pat mentioned, what are those? The end of RIP? Because I didn't read any of that. Actually, ASS is the only DC thing I've read that's not a showcase or New Frontier in years.

Thoroughly enjoyed Final Crisis from top to bottom. Took me a while to realize that parts were being told in flashback, and the ending would have confused me without Superman Beyond, (which I just bought and read over the weekend because I learned Morrison wrote it). Love the last few pages, can't wait to see how they resolve that situation.

Ben, I'm not a big DC fan, and I didn't get everything (the Kamandi/Command-D stuff, what the Atoms were doing, ect). I only read Batman, Superman Beyond, and Final Crisis, but I think that was enough to get the vast majority of it. It's perfectly acceptable to hate this story, especially if the lack of transitions ("channel zapping comics"), seen particularly in this issue, are not your kind of thing. I thought they contributed to the size and scope of this story. This is the most epic company event I ever read and I don't think anything will top it.

    Final Crisis was insane.

I don't know if I liked it or not yet, but it was incredibly ambitious.

Also, USM was fun, but Ultimatum drags down every single thing it touches. I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as the usual issues, although there were a few moments that just made me grin from ear to ear.

The first ASM extra was a useless collection of trailers that I felt genuinely ripped off by. This one? Probably the two best ASM stories I've read in YEARS.

I think the Hammerhead story in the first one was far better than you're making it out to be.

Though I definitely agree that this new one was faaaaaaar better.

The Atoms were attempting to create an escape tunnel to a different Earth.

The Hammerhead one was okay. I enjoyed the arc when it came around.

The trial one was both a huge spoiler, and rather annoying because it wasn't coming around for so long. I don't even remember the third.

These were legit stories on their own, and both were fantastic.
