    Help with returning merchandise

My family got an XBox 360 that we have no use for. Me and the wife are not gamers and the kids are too young. However, we have no receipt and I am having a hard time finding a store that will even give me store credit for it. Two ads on Craigslist yielded only spammers and fake responses. Any suggestions?

Donate it to a local hospital and take the tax deduction.

Yeah... but people are idiots. Or they live in the sticks and can't get to a decent store.

I know a guy who bought a PS3 off of eBay... when he could have went down the street from where we were working at the time.

But he just wanted it "Delivered straight to my door."

Gamestop. If i'm not mistaken they can still give cash for a trade, but it's something like 20% less than it would be in store credit. Otherwise, cant you just take it to a best buy or the like and claim it was a gift from an out of state relative and you don't have the recipt? If the person behind the counter gives you a hard time, just ask (nicely) to speak to a manager. Most managers in retail stores (especially large chains) can basically take back whatever the fuck they want to. Good luck!

WalMart will almost always take stuff without a receipt.
