I'm a fan of the blue album and Pinkerton. Those albums influenced a lot of the bands that are present on the tribute cd, which is pretty good if you want my opinion.
Okay so I was in the music store today and I was looking through some of the newer albums they had and I stumble across a Weezer Tribute album?!? Is it me or am I the only one who thinks Weezer is not so great that they deserve a tribute album? I liked Weezer when I was 15. The Blue album and Pinkerton were great but then their bass player left and went on to do The Rentals (First album great, second album terrible). But really do they need a tribute album consisting of songs by Dashboard Confessionals, Yellowcard, and a bunch of other PopPunk/Emo Wannabe bands?

Why do they need a tribute? Has something bad happened to them? Did a member die? As far as I know, they just released a cd, didn't they?

on MTV it was H*** Pipe.
The album is fairly horrible. The only real highlights are Dashboard's version of "Jamie", and Midtown doing the most ballsy rocking version of "Suzanne" possible. The other tracks are just meh.
Who cares? I like them. Other people like them. I actually listened to a song off of that tribute album on my mp3 player today.
Nothing beats the Duran Duran tribute album, though.
