Yeah, you are right for sure. Same with Burn Notice. Little things get added to the long plot, but the episode has to do with some sort of experiment gone wrong each week.
Hell, I STILL think Nathan Stark is more Tony Stark than the one we saw in the film.

I like the show, it's quirky and sometimes quite strange. And it rarely talks down to the audience.
It's not great, but it's a fun show.
