If you bump this thread later today, ClintP might be able to help. I believe he partially built his media center PC.
You are going with AMD. No matter what you do past that point, your system will suck, sorry.

I'm so confuddled.
and AMD used to be the shit, but Intel stomped them a ways back. So thats the lowdown on that.

go from there
Yeah, I built it but I basically got a list of shit off the net from looking around at various builds and found one in my budget with the quality I was wanting. It was my first pc to build. I am still new to finding processors that are good matches with mother boards and all that still.
the actual building of the pc was easy as sin though. The mother board basically came with a diagram/instruction for where to plug shit in and I just followed it. I was expecting issues, but it booted up just fine the first time and I haven't had an issue since.
Sorry I wasn't more help.![]()
Here is my build if you or anyone is interested in it.
Monitor
Processor
Mother Board
Hard Drive (I use this one for storage only. I had an 80 gig one from earlier that I used for the windows install)
Case
TV Card (I bought 2) (I would probably go with a higher end tv cards now if I were doing this over again.)
Thanks guys for all the help, you guys are wonderful. I'm hoping to have this thing by the end of the year I'm all excited!!!
