I like some modern era comics & still buy new comics every Wednesday. I actually LOVED New Avengers! As far as statues go, while I love the Silver Age, my heart belongs to the Bronze Age!

It always seems whenever Bowen does a statue/mini-bust you all prefer that era for the characters and there is a LOT of push back whenever Randy wants to do more modern characters.
For example, Winter Soldier, new Captain America, Red Hulk all spring to mind.
I'd love to see the Young Avengers mini-busted. Why no love for this modern era of comics?
What comics do you all read now?

Bowen Designs Marvel Statue SNEAK PEEKS!

I love the Marvel Universe.
I wish there were some more modern characters released, and some more 70's classics.
I am all for the modern characters such as X-23, the new X-Men (Surge, Dust, Anole, Rockslide, Nezhno, etc.), Winter Soldier, the new Captain America, Young Avengers and the Runaways!
I started reading comics in the early 1970s and those were special times for me and my comic-reading habits. Still, I'm spending more money and time on comics today than I ever have. I probably average about $50 per week on comics.
Other comics I buy include all Avengers titles, X-Force and most X-Men titles, Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Walking Dead, Thor, Captain America, House of Mystery, Kolchak the Night Stalker, most Friday the 13th and Halloween comics, Hulk, Incredible Hercules, etc., etc., etc..![]()

"Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist ...
Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed."

I wouldn't say that there are more silver age fans than modern ones on here, but rather that the silver age fans are a more vocal group. I perfer both modern and classic myself. I like Randy's new practice of releasing a modern and classic version of a character togehter to please both groups. That way nobody goes away dissapointed.
I'm all over the place. I like the old, in-between, and the new stuff
"Our history suggests it's better to open the road to riches for those Americans than to raid the gold pot at the end of it."
With the possible exception of Young Avengers, if it happened in Marvel past about 1988, I'm not interested.
Most of us are all old and got introduced to comics in the late 70's so those are the characters we feel in love with per se. While I have read comics through the last 35+ years of my life, I will always love the early Buscema Hulk era as the best ever. Not to say I can not appreciate the new stuff. Planet Hulk blew me away and I am totally psyched that Randy is making a statue of him.

The Incredible Hulk: Engine of Destruction
I prefer the Silver Age, but that has the benefit of nostalgia. I wouldn't mind seeing newer characters mixed in. I actually think with the current smaller runs the new characters would be justified for production. I also think it would be helpful in prolonging the popularity of the line for several more years. Currently there is no other company producing any of the new characters. In my mind these new fans are low-hanging fruit. (I actually hate that saying, but it works)
