Thread: X-Men cartoon in the background

    X-Men cartoon in the background

on Jetix. Shard, Archangel, Mystique, Sabretooth...

From their 90's heyday-- but not aging well.
I think good stuff can be had from Mystique, Sabretooth, and Angel-- but as they appear here.... unh unh.
And this Shard character, like a descendent of Grace Jones, eewww.

Losing Morph in that first episode was the first time, as a child, that I ever experienced true loss.

I saw an episode the other day titled "Weapon X, lies, and videotape." I was cracking the fuck up.

    Indeed.

Except for my Grandfather that is.

Well... nah. I was 3 when my grandfather died. I had no idea wtf was going on. Apparently at his funeral I even ran up to the corpse to try and wake him up. Morph hurt me more I guess.

    Want some further craziness?

The original X-Men cartoon pilot, Pryde of the X-Men, from 1989...?

The animation is WAY better than the Fox cartoon that got green lit.

(of course... it also covers the plot points of the entire first season of the Fox series and all three movies combined. Plus... y'know... australian Wolverine)

Here's my Storm from the X-Men cartoon impression:

That sort of ruined that rendition of Storm for me. Girl can bat an eyelash and call for monsoon season in the comics and we get overacted verbal commands to Mama Nature.

For the longest time, I thought Storm power worked like Dragonball Z.
