    Dan's Writing Mighty Avengers!

    BELIEVE IT!

No wonder he was at Baltimore this weekend.

So any chance of a certain WAR references in the title?

Holy shit this is awesome. I'm kind of saddened by Bendis leaving Mighty Avengers and Dan leaving A:TI but they're both in good hands.

I wonder what the tone of the MA and what the roster will be. I think it's great Dan's been having his hand making A:TI big and creating new characters, now let's see what he can do handling one of the biggest teams in comics.

I'm sure Dan must have butterflies in his stomach having another fanboy dream come true.

Congrats Dan. Also I'm glad you and Chris proved Bendis wrong on the Kill Krew after all.

Who's writing the mini though? I hope it's you or Chris.

Congrats, Dan. This is another good sign that you're climbing up the ranks of comic writers.

This will be good. I'll be very sad to see Dan leave A:TI. Gage is good, but I don't know if he can bring the same love of continuity and bringing back old characters that Slott brought to A:TI. I've got no plans of dropping the title though, which is good. When he left She-Hulk, I dropped it like a brick.

But damn it Dan, let's get Mr. Immortal in Mighty Avengers. I know that won't happen, but please shake up the roster and give it more of a classic Avengers feel. Sadly, my #1 Avenger is tied up in another book, so I doubt we'll be seeing him. At least until MI:13 is canceled, which probably won't be long. It's not a book with wide appeal here in the States I imagine. Unless UK sales can keep it afloat.

What do you mean MI:13 is going to get cancelled? People have been loving it and if it gets cancelled there'll be hell to pay.

Also ever since Chris Gage came along the quality of A:TI took a great leap so I'm sure everything'll be fine plus if you remember that one-shot issue he wrote featuring Taskmaster and Butterball I think if the quality is like that issue it'll do fine without Dan.

Oh, I like it. But it's a niche book, and I doubt sales are going to be big enough after the SI tie-in to maintain it for long. There's just not enough people flocking to see Captain Britain and The Black Knight.

And I'm a big fan of Gage. I loved Stormwatch: PHD. But he's no Dan Slott. His strengths are very different than Slott's, and I do think A:TI will suffer without Slott a lot more than it would have if Gage had left Slott alone again.

Wow! Congratulations, Dan! Like others here, I'm saddened that you're leaving A:TI, but that book is in good hands with Chris Gage. (Hmm, so this is why Chris was polling recently for reader input on lesser known characters they'd like to appear in A:TI.) I'm really, really looking forward to your work on Mighty Avengers. You've been given the keys to the penthouse, m'lad!
