    Podcasts?

OK John and all, I need your help. Recommend me some good podcasts to listen to during my 10 hour drive to Florida this weekend. I'd love some good noir/mystery casts and stuff. Thanks!

    Come on ya'll!
Just found some old radio mysteries on iTunes. I'm excited that I found some Phillip Marlowe radio shows!

    Re: Podcasts?

Hi Shannon, and all! Newly registered to Jinxworld but please don't snub me for that reason!! Bearing in mind i'm sure you will have heard of some of these before, I'm gonna list some of my favourite podcasts. Although Wordballoon is natch top of the list!

    • Mark Kermode's Film Reviews from BBC Radio 5 Live
New UK film releases reviewed in a pithy fashion by the self-styled Exorcist Guru. Latest episode has a great rant at Rocknrolla
    • Daily Mayo from BBC Radio 5 Live
A bit shorter, daily segments from the radio show. Interviews with media types, UK politicians and such. I always find this worth a listen even if I don't know who the interviewee is.
    • Music Week from BBC Radio 6 Music
Oddly, a music podcast with all the music taken out due to copywrite laws. Interviews and talk on today's music scene. That is, decent music.
    • Creative Screenwriting Magazine
Only just found this one, through Augie I think. Great intelligent interviews on the writing process. Spoiler filled episode on Dark Knight.
    • Sidebar
My other favourite comic podcast. More art-centric interviews. Great skottie young episode recently.
    • Stephen Fry's Podgrams
Not too many of these, but actor (etc) Stephen Fry is a real institution in the UK so anything he has to say goes a long way! Plus, he's a Mac addict.
    • Resonance FM: Panel Boarders
Couldn't find the iTunes link for this one even though I'm subscribed to it. John has mentioned it before, on his Facebook page I think. Some more great comic interviews from the British stable of creators.

Think that's about it. I guess it's not what you asked for, but I hope you try one or two out anyways!

    Cheers for now

    -Tom
