The Next Spidey Villian should be... JJJ!!!

John Cleary posted some pics at the SF of a JJJ bust he's done, "just for fun". Sidenote: You sculptors amaze me with the stuff you do "just for fun". Anyway, Randy is there anyway, any, any at all, that you can pick up this wonderful bust? John nailed the likeness of J. Jonah perfectly. It would be a fitting bust to add to Spidey's rogue's gallery!!

Looks awfully similar to the Diamond Select JJJ mini-bust ...



It's a good sculpt, but ... I dunno ... ... isn't there something, even slightly different, one could do with a JJJ sculpt, pose-wise? There's got to be something outside of the realm of "clutching newspaper angrily."

P.S. Totally off-topic ... what the hell is up with that DST bust's base? Because, you know, the Daily Bugle isn't enough - they had to throw in crap from the Scorpion? Look, I mean, I realize the connection, but criminy ... surprised they didn't lump on some Man-Wolf or Spider-Slayers, right? Also, it looks like he's wearing one of those piano keyboard neckties ...

While it is a killer piece (John Cleary always puts out killer pieces!) a JJJ mini bust just doesn't do it for me. Now a MAN WOLF would be a GREAT upcoming mb for the Spidey Rouges gallery!!!


And a sidebar: it's JJJ, how can someone come up with a different pose? Clutching a newspaper and a cigar is the only way he's ever been dipected(sic?)

How about JJJ's face in the Spider Slayer? Not sure how you could actually do it though.

I didn't even know DST had a JJJ bust. Its ok I guess, but compared to John's (even with his being unpainted) I feel his blow's DST's out of the proverbial water. I suggested a sky-scaper with the Daily Bugle logo as a base. My second suggestion was a newspaper machine with a Daily Bugle in the window displaying the bold headline, SPIDER-MAN: MENACE STRIKES AGAIN!
