It's time for a new Donkey Kong adventure game

I was thinking about this as I typed my responses into the 16-bit game thread...

Donkey Kong Country really did a good job of giving the SNES a nice sales boost as well as a graphical infusion of goodness. Sure, the Wii doesn't necessarily need the same thing, but it would be great to see a Donkey Kong Country-esque game for it. Maybe 3D? With waggle-swinging controls? He goes in a barrel and you have to turn the Wiimote just so to get a good trajectory to fire him into the other? The possibilities are endless! And fun!

I liked DK64. The only thing I didnt like was how much of a bitch and a half it was to get the jumper pak out to put the expansion pak in. I had to use a screwdriver and to wedge it out.

Yes. But I had that experience when I was trying to play Majora's Mask.
