Borrowed the Gold Box set from a friend. Been watching the hell out of it lately. Loving it to death and raging like mad over two things:

1. There was no third season.

2. There was to be a graphic novel included which would have covered the third season, but it didn't happen:

One of the best series ever. I'd really like to see a restored version of Fire Walk With Me with all/more of the footage.

From what I understand, 55 minutes worth. There's even a myspace page dedicated to getting the footage released.

I give the same schpeil every time a Twin peaks thread or conversation comes up, so I'll keep it to the bare bones this time coz 90% of you have heard me say this before (probably more than once).

I rate Twin Peaks in my Top 3 TV shows of all time (probably Top 2 if I am brutally honest), but it ended at the exact right time. It's good that there was no 3rd season.

As superb a show as it was, the second season was treading water from the "reveal" episode all the way through until the finale.

If the show had continued it would have gone on to be more sub-par sub-plots like James' road trip with the wife and her "brother".

It ended in the perfect place. It left us wanting more, but if we had got more then people would be talking about how Season 3 "jumped the shark".
