10 - Everything I want in a comic, an instant classic
9 - Excellent, a nearly perfect read
8 - Highly recommended but it has minor flaws
7 - Very good, it does have some problems
6 - Above average but has deep flaws
5 - An average comic
4 - Below average, the flaws outweigh the good
3 - A disappointing comic
2 - Forgettable, a waste of time
1 - Stay away!! One of the worst comics I've read

Without having read the book, I just want to say that Thor's re-emergence into the MU in the last year has been incredibly well done, from JMS' book to Fraction's stories, to his finally arriving in SI, it's been really great watching this character become part of the MU again.

Fraction shows how to do it--solid concept, personal connection, and a human element that functions as a great ticking clock. I think this is the strongest tie in for SI so far. Art's really great too.

I concur. They've given the character gravitas and made him matter once again. We're being reminded that it wasn't just a hero who returned, but a whole pantheon of gods.

Aye but did ye not enjoy seeing Thor's ally and comrade in arms Beta Ray Bill once again? And Thor's wench brother/sister as always seeks to do harm upon the Shining City of Asgard. The wench shall change her ways when she finds out even an enemy as conniving as the Skrulls will give her no quarter.

okay so I haven't been keeping up on JMS's thor, and a few things were off putting. Loki's a chick? I read the first 3 issues. I thought the people knew asgard was like right outside the town. If they do, why didn't the gods just ask them to get in the storm cellar? If they don't, why not?

regardless, this issue read like an old issue of Simonson's run. I think the asgardians are way too easily manipulated. I mean how many thousands of years do they have to be manipulated by Loki before they can withstand him. I did like the one guy snapping at Loki, but it was all for naught since he still fell for it.

The art was really good. I think the rough pencil style works a lot better with Braithwaite's stuff. If you don't believe me go compare it to Punisher kills the marvel universe that got rereleased this week.

All in all a solid issue

Yep since Loki's not an Asgardian she's not tied to being reborn in the same form so this time she's a chick.

I don't buy it either that they keep just believing her but Loki did make a good point. They didn't know for sure since he just got dropped out of space for all they know eh could be one of them besides Thor quelled that riot away.

As for why they didn't tell Broxton about the Skrulls, I dunno I guess they figured it would just put the townspeople in the very place the Skrulls want to capture.

Beta Ray Bill! Loki being a dick/bitch! Good omniscient narration! And a very human story weaved thru, to boot.
