AMAZING characterization. Simply AMAZING. Total proof that there are no such things as bad characters, only bad writers.
Another I would add to the list are the 90's LSH and Legionaires books. I loved those stories until Abnett and Lanning RUINED them for good.
I am finally able to tolerate Abnett's writing again, since Nova. His LSH was a bad Star Trek ripoff book though. And he took something fun and made it horrible and dark..
I am tempted to pick up the 3 Legions book that DC is putting out later out of morbid curiosity..
Dr. Ω
Flipping through my old Knightfall issues, I realized... I REALLY loved that armored costume Jean-Paul Valley put together when he was Batman. Not so much the one from Knight's End, but that first one, with the almost Black Panthery looking mask.
I sure dug that.

Words of wisdom...
Dick Grayson Batman... from Prodigal. Yes, I know that he'd never permanently take it up, but it would be cool to see it for an arc or two (no Jason Todd... eyurgh).
The very first Ion - from the GL ongoing where Kyle first exhibited godlike powers, not the dolphin-maxi. It would be cool to see a flashback mini of that - sort of a "what do you do with all this power, and where do you cross the line?" type thing.
Married Peter and Married MJ, and people knowing who Peter is. Not everyone, but some people, like Luke, so they can joke around again and stuff... some of the best moments in HoM is where Luke and Pete are consoling each other about their relationships, and how they changed in the new universe. I think that, more than anything, is a big hole in the Marvel U that shouldn't have been taken away by BND.
Agree on Young Justice... while Teen Titans are cool, they're not the fun of YJ... and now they're dead.
You guys might give me grief for this one, but the Newmen were pretty neat. It's an older Extreme comic that had an X-men-style group of teenagers/young adults together... and then Extreme had like twelve crossovers and messed the group over. It would be nice to see them back.
Doctor Hulk - the one from the bulk of Peter David's run, where he was Hulk but smart. That was some of the best Hulk comics I've ever read. Hulk is kinda smart now, but it's not the same.
Why do you still have signatures turned on?
I was going to say that. But really it would be more correct to say I like it when Peter uses his brain. When I first read the Stan Lee and Steve Ditko run in reprints Peter was always using his brains. He get his assed kicked and than build something to beat the bad guy. I liked that he used his brains to alter his web formula to make some baody armor. I also liked in the Revenge of the Sinister Six how Eric Larsen had Peter invent Web Cannons. And of course I bet Peter had the idea for the web stingers in the back of his head before Ben Reily beat him to the punch.
Spoiler:
I woud say he was created as a good parody, became the thing he was parodying when handled by less talented people and is now a lame parody. Sort of like the Starship Troopers movies.
Also YJ was never as good as it is in peoples memories. Bad pun based humor (with Superboy and Impulse on the team you don't need to put them in "funny" situations to get laffs) and misjuged melodrama.
