That was awesome. This was a GREAT ep. I loved every second of it AND I watched it again right after I finished it the first time. So great.
Yeah! I just watched it too, it was a ton of fun. Kinda felt a little different than the previous couple of series, but in a good way. Matt Smith is definitely going to be great as the Doctor, and Amy seems interesting enough as a companion. The bit at the end
    Spoilers:

With the quick montage of the Doctor's forms

    gave me chills. Great stuff!

but there are cracks, so maybe we will know them better?

everyone did seem to know the Doctor, so they had to know Amy, my guess is since the Doctor keeps popping up at all different times and seems to have less the his normal control of the Tardis, maybe when he goes to take Amy back he goes back to far and has another adventure with him

Smith and Gillan were great and the writing was as well. It definitely wasn't Moffats best episode, but it was still really good. I love all those small clever comments he puts into his stories, like the swimming pool references. Overall the episode really had a refreshing new feel to it, but it was still definitely Doctor Who.

Though, there were a few moments in the episode that seemed a bit weirdly acted/edited together. Probably because they're all new and finding their feet a bit (crashing into trees , that bit was hilarious).

I'll have watch this again tomorrow, as there were couple of things I didn't quite get:

    1. Who the hell was that Jeff guy? How did he know what to do with the virus thing after the Doctor left? Everything involving that guy seemed a bit weird and unexplained. The old woman was his mother or something, right?

    2. Why did the Doctor call the aliens back and give them the "protected planet" speech?
Apart from threatening to destroy the planet to find Prisoner 0 (which I agree is kinda bad ) , they didn't seem to have any wish to remain on earth. Was it just to spread the word, like 10 did with the Sycorax?

Can't wait until next week. That series trailer was amazing and had so many great moments. I almost felt that it showed a bit too much. Hopefully Moffat's got some stuff hidden away still.
    1. He knew what to do because The Doctor told him what to do. He created the Virus and then uploaded it to the computer and from there Jeff Uploaded it to every else and Ever site he knew. (I also thought it was Brilliant that he was looking at porn while the World was ending.)

    2. I think the fact that they were willing to blow up a planet with 6 BILLION people on it just to get a single Prisoner back pissed him off. Not just any planet mind you though. They were going to blow up HIS planet, his Adopted home and I think he wanted them to know not to fuck with him or he'd Destroy them.

Yup, I pretty much echo all of the "it was awesome" statements! Love the new TARDIS.

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

I had fun, but I will reserve judgement.

I really really hope Ami doesn't turn in to Rose pt III.

That was absolutely great. Hopefully the harbinger of a great new era of Moffat as showrunner.

Well I dl'd it last night but saved for my Sunday morning viewing, Match of the Day followed by Dr. Who.

So I've just finished the episode and the only way you'll get the smile off my face is beat it off with a stick.

All the right beats were struck and the new companion is sexy, sexy, sexy.

A companion picture not from the episode
    Spoiler:

The extended series trailer at the end shows we're in for a ride
