    Finally scored a Deal!

I'm always reading about how others found fantastic deals. at their LCS Well, being stuck here on the islands of Hawaii, we don't have much LCS. Needless to say, great deals are almost none exisitent.

Finally found a deal! My LCS opened another store and had 25% off mechandise including statues!

Picked up a Bowen museum classic Captain America for 127.50 (before tax) and a Bowen classic action Wolverine for 135.00 (before tax)!

For once I can brag about a awesome deal!

It is a generally accepted practice that when one shall expound on
the virtues of a transaction resulting in the procurement of an object
suitable for display depicting such notable personage, that one shall accompany such obiter dictum with observable attestation.

    in other words...

MAKE WITH THE *@#!*%! PICTURES, PAL!

Yes -- must be horrible STUCK in Hawaii - no beaches, no pretty girls in tiny bikinis or beautiful scenery. You must miss the cozy roar of a furnace.

    Nice deals. Congratulations!

Yeah, no kidding! If only I had those kinds of problems.

Congrats on the deals though. Anything that helps justify this crazy hobby of ours is a good thing.

Ok Ok...point taken...I'm really not "stuck" here in Hawaii...it is a fantastic place to live.

I will follow up w/ some pics....

P.S...there is a downside to living in Hawaii...there's a lot of inflated shipping costs to Hawaii that the sellers use to pad their profit margin...this is not everybody, but some retailers...I can understand higher shipping costs when premium service such as UPS, FedEX is used. But why is the cost inflated when the mail service is USPS? The same rates apply to all 50 states; rates are dictated by size and weight of package, not the distance the package travels. I've gotten into some bitter battles lately... shall I mention names?

Oh yah...will post pics of Cap and Wolvie later today...=)
