A 40% cream of the crop rating is pretty surprising. These are the first negative reviews that I've read of. Of course, the New Yorker generally writes the most idiotic and pretentious movie reviews, so you can always toss that one.

It remains to be seen if audiences will react well to a bait and switch.. the trailers make it look like a Bruckheimer film. And with him not being in costume until halfway into the film (coupled with a long runtime).. well, hopefully Nolan can pull it off.

Any particular reason you can't just read posts for what they are?Originally Posted by bartleby

TRANSLATION: It may be a good film, but I don't have high hopes for it being a blockbuster, despite the people involved making the film.
Some of the complaints about the HULK film, are the same ones being made about Batman.
The problems most people had with Hulk, I thought were it's strengths. If Bats and the Hulk have the same problems, them I'm happy!

The weaknesses as conceived by the mass audience - too much character development, a deftly contstructed plot, a proper build-up to the action sequences - and not the actual weaknesses - some hokey sets, spotty performances and a terrible final 15 minutes.Originally Posted by bartleby
And no, I don't count a lack of humor as a flaw.
