This is a lame question on my part, but what weekend is this?
Not this year, unfortunately. The cost of travel and hotel was just too much for us to swing. We're trying to pay down debt so that we can buy a house next year or the year after.
We took a long weekend to Bar Harbor, Maine last weekend. That's going to be our "vacation" this year. Although we might drive up to Niagra Falls later in the year.
I am bummed about not being able to go and see everyone. Maybe next year.

Same here. I have to keep that weekend tentative. The missus' birthday is that Thursday.
