Good reason. As slow as the board can be for people who still have to use dialup now, videos would make any thread with them in it unviewable.

You don't automatically download a video when it's embedded in a web page so no it would not slow down significantly. It would probably slow down as much as an image does. Now if you decide to start and download the video it's another story but then it becomes your choice.

Images already slow down pages significantly for dialup. Adding the videos as well, with as many times as people already post links to youtube....
