One of the attackers' mother—who may or may not be the girl's legal guardian but is the person whose house this took place at—went on the Today Show this morning and basically said that the victim needed to learn not to run her mouth unless she could back it up.

Well, it sounds like this girl couldn't back it up either without a surprise attack, 5 of her friends helping, and 2 others on lookout.
