OK, I guess that has been discussed before...
I just got THE LONERS TPB last week and started reading it yesterday.
I'm enjoying it a lot, and I've noticed that all six covers are homages to movies from the 80's (yeah, a golden age of music and films!). Being more specific, they are all John Hughes's movies:
ISSUE #1.- The Breakfast Club
ISSUE #2.- Ferris Bueller's Day Off (one of my all time top 10 movies!)
ISSUE #3.- Weird Science
ISSUE #4.- Pretty in Pink.
ISSUE #5.- Some Kind of Wonderful (which I haven't seen yet)
ISSUE #6.- Sixteen candles.
I was wondering if there's more 80's homages hidden in C.B.'s work.
Maybe in WONDERLOST (which I'm waiting to get in TPB)?

Hahaha! Thanks to you too, of course.
By the way, I recently realized that there are some POWERS covers paying homage to cult movie posters:
#17.- A Clockwork Orange
#18.- Blade Runner (best movie ever?)
#21.- well, it looks like an Oeming-esque version of Weird Science to me.
Any other I missed?
I wonder if Mr. Cebulski (being POWERS editor) has anything to do with that.
