Re: Do you all care about your pieces collectability/market value?

I do care about aftermarket value just for the sake of knowing...I don't buy my MBs or FSs for investment, but its nice to know how much its worth...unfortunately, I paid 315.00 each for my Cylops MB, my most expensive aquisition. My best deal was Namor which I picked up for 22.00

I do something pretty obsessive/compulsive...I have a picture inventory of all my peices...usually stock photos though...under each photo I have the following information:

    Name(date of release)
    Variation:
    Edition:
    Price Paid:
    Value/Date:

    Example (just made up info):
    Daredevil (2000)
    Variation: V-Cut
    Edition: 254/3000
    Price: 40.00
    Value/Date: 45.00/March 2008

Who cares if it goes up in value. I just want a blast from the past. It looks cool and most people do not have this type of a collection.

It's my personal cool thing. That once I have a piece, it is part of my collection and that is that !!!

Yes, I do watch the price's go up and down, but in the end I don't buy for investment purposes.
I like to think they are worth more than just some pounded out porcelian dust and resin with some paint slapped on it.
They are piece's of Art, sculpt's that should endure a Market with ALOT of junk being pushed into it.
I wouldn't be buying these if they were piece's of garbage, everybody who walk's into my display room alway's ask's first How much are they worth, and honestly I don't know what to say, except what I know I paid for them. When/IF I sell them then I'll know what their worth.
Most Expensive FS: New Hulk, got it direct from BD, around $200.00, well worth it!!
Most Expensive MB: Chromed Silver Surfer MB, from Lord Odin at SF, Good Deal!
Least Expensive FS: Rogue FS, it's sweet, nice resculpt of the Storm FS, Ebay under a #100.00 shipped!! Great Deal!!
Least Expensive MB: Moleman, somewhere in N.J., under $20.00, then I whacked the seller, J/K!!!
When I look at my collection No One's going to buy it for the price I have into it, if you do PM me right now, but it's got to be pushing $25,000.00, all the Marvel MB's except GB, CBS, BCFRN and the RED Caped Black Knight, plus just about every FS, and $2,000.00 worth of Glass Cube Shelves, wall shelves and light's. Plus you have to remember the Frickin' mileage you use up getting there and back, that's why I love ordering Direct from BD!!
All in All yeah, I wish the value of each piece would increase, but now that there's more and more being made, I don't know about increased value, but Hell I'll buy them anyhow.
