Does my wife count?![]()

Does my wife count?![]()
I have not brought attention at times to a new shipment, but she's not dumb she sees the big box on the front stoop. My wife sees all my statues/mini-busts. I routinely take them out to rearrange stuff. I've never borrowed money to own a statue. I have pointed a cool one out to my mom for birthday or Christmas like the Sentinel statue.
my wife found out about my statues when she found my hidden room
Did you have the comic book store when the two of you met, Grandpa?
my wife told me i had to open a store because i was selling comics out of are bedroom and it started getting out of hand![]()
My wife sees all my purchases. The only one I thought might create controversy was not a Bowen piece. It was the Gentle Giant Slave Leia. After seeing it, she rolled her eyes and called me Fan-boy. I nodded and accepted the title.
My wife is pretty cool about my statues. She likes to ask me about the different characters and the roles they play in the genre. At the same time, I guess I get a little satisfaction out of telling her all about it.
there have been a couple of times that I have forgotten to tell my partner that some new bust/statues have come... but most of the time he is there before i am so he see's the packages from UPS...
I've been known to leave work early to snag packages off the porch before the wife gets home. If I purchase a statue/bust from my LCS I may leave it in the car until I can sneak it in. She doesn't mind my collection, I'm just running out of room for everything. Plus there are times when every week there will be several packages waiting for me...
Yeah, every once in a while I too try to sneak in stuff while my wife is working or away on business. But she also notices the changes in what I have displayed. And my kids are always ratting me out to her, letting her know that another package has arrived. But that's ok, I always blame them if I every leave things lying around the house, food wrappers, dirty dishes.![]()
