Did Scooby Doo ever meet a real monster?

I know in every episode I see the monster is always Old Man So-and-So trying to protect his real estate investment or something. But did the gang ever meet a real monster? And if so, how did they/could they stop one?

I doubt a stray banana peel or some marbles on the ground would be enough to save you if sasquatch is on your ass.

Sadly he never defeated the duel monsters of pot addiction and his speech impediment.

I'm amazed at how quickly he was able to pull that up.
