Yeah I get the same feeling. The gags seem forced. It just looks like recycled Austin Powers skits.

Did you ever see the original Get Smart? It invented the whole spy spoof genre, four decades before Austin Powers ever existed.

I only hope that the movie stays true to the spirit of the show.

My only problem here - why is Max Smart like an systems analyst who gets promoted to being a spy? I know it's lame to complain about but that's not the way the series was. I'd much rather open with him already an established bumbling man of mystery.

I dunno man... huge fan of the original, but it just doesn't look like it's doing that, you know? Their new Cone of Silence annoys me. I loved the original.
