File this under I'll believe it when I see it.According to Variety, Columbia Pictures has landed the rights to the Garth Ennis/Darick Robertson series, and is looking to turn it into a feature film, under Neal H. Mortiz’s “Original Film” production house.
I know Ennis has said that he has a plan for this series with a definate end point. Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until the entire story is told before making it into a movie?
Now if they adapted one of Ennis'es Punisher MAX arcs I'd be all over that movie.

My bad. I didn't see the thread that Bendis started. I even searched under "The Boys."

I'll bet you a 20 that this'll go the way of the Preacher movie.
I can't imagine this happening.
If it's made, I don't see them doing a plot point for plot point adaptation. This'll have to be pared down to the essence of the story a la L.A. Confidential. Ennis said that The Boys was inspired by American Tabloid by James Ellroy (who also wrote LA Conf.). So my guess is that The Boys the comic is going to be more complicated than a two hour screenplay could handle. You'd need someone with a hell of a lot of adaptation talent to pull that off.
Winter is Coming.
I bet they take all the superhero stuff out. Like "Wanted"...![]()
