Nothing against Chaykin, who's clearly the man... but let's get real. His pencils on #50 were just a stunt to make the issue seem like a bigger deal, and Parlov is the only one who should ever draw 'Cuda.

Yeah. And for Phil Jimenez to re-draw every page of the 6 issues of Infinite Crisis he didn't have time for - even the awesome Flash/Superboy sequence that George Perez drew.

Fundamentally, I entirely agree with you.

But everyone else is right. The precedent is too stupid, and there's no way Marvel will spend money paying him to do it anyway. And even if he did it for free, they might not agree to pay to colour and letter it.

and quitely to go back and draw all the issues of new x-men he didn't do. much as i liked van sciver, bachalo, silvestri, and jimenez... i was sold on the idea that quitely (my favorite artist) would be doing all of the art.

Getting someone to go back and draw a back issue is a slap in the face to the original artist. And I still think it's bullshit that DC did that with Crisis. Don't sell me a product you know is inferior so you can make a few extra bucks later.
