Would you like to see older comics recolored with todays techniques?

I look back at some of my older stuff sometimes and think that the line work is just great but that the colors take away from the image.

Don't get me wrong, for its time it worked, but todays way of coloring just add so much more depth to the art.

Jim Lee's stuff these days look so much more smooth and polished than it did during his time and Marvel and even the first few years at Image. His stuff is not substantially different than that time though. His colorists have helped him take things to a new level.

Would you look forward to and buy an Omnibus/TPB/What have you of the Claremont/Byrne X-Men or other great runs that that were recolored with the tools we have today?

I think Dark Horse did this with their Conan reprints. I thought they looked nice. I wouldn't mind seeing something similar on other comics.

Sure. I like how Absolute Sandman, Superman - Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, and Crisis on Infinite Earths look. I'm not sure if I'd want it for every story, though.

As long as there's a version in print with the original coloring, sure. I'd really love to see what Kirby and Ditko's stuff would look like with modern coloring, for example.

yes, I agree with you on that. I don't want just any runs recolored and I don't want them done by just anybody. If this were to get done I would want it to really well, otherwise there is no reason to do the update.
