Hey, Chicago Peeps. Pizza Question.

Everyone knows that NY style is the best pizza, but my wife seems to be one of those delusional few that love Chicago Deep Dish.

While I admit it's good, it's a meal, not pizza.

Anyway

Aside from Giordano's, what are some good deep dish authentic Chicago-style pizza places to eat at? I remember watching some ChivsNY pizza documentary on discovery one day and one place in Chicago they mentioned was a restraunt that used to be an old firehouse station. Now converted into a brick oven pizza restraunt.

Anyone know what THAT place is?

BTW, Chicago-style rules over that overrated, floppy NY 'pizza'.

Chicago definitely makes awesome lasagna.

It depends on where you're at. In Hyde Park we have a Giordano's (a staple). Other good places are Gino's East, Pizza Capri (fucking amazing gourmet deep dish) and Edwardo's.

Any place within walking distance of The Bean and Millenium Park. We're going to be going to the Field Museum, art museum, and Planetarium.

Gonna wanna sample some good eats, and I love pizza. And my wife loves that Chicago Lasagna you call pizza.
