By this logic, all superhero comics should be abolished for lack of suspense.

The threat of death isn't the only way to create suspense, nor does it solely equate to the various dimensions that go into crafting an engaging tale.

    It's a feud, Melanson!

Couldn't you at least have gone with the standard "Lock Stock/Snatch ripoff" complaint?

    Give me another Bourne movie...
The new Bond with Daniel Craig is set up as a trilogy. I very much doubt he'll be "fine" at any point during the next film. They set him on his path to become an uncaring, coldhearted psychopath working for the good guys in Casino Royale. When he thinks he's got things under control in the next one, they'll pull the rug from under him - the rug that was covering the bottomless well.

What Casino Royale started is a new departure for the Bond franchise. It was much needed, and if they can keep it up, the new movies will continue to outshine earlier Bond films.

Every Bond movie I've seen has several scenes that rely on the threat of death to create suspense.

Every Bond flick I've seen has used other plot devices to create an interesting tale beyond merely a possibility of death. If that alone is the only argument for ending a franchise, its not one I'd support.
