So I Finally Bought a Big Batch Of Ms. Marvel

Because I'd been hearing about it for a long time, and I met Brian Reed in Seattle last year and he was very kind and gracious. I don't live near a comics shop and I'm traveling all the time, so I miss a lot of non-DC books that I would probably be enjoying if I could get them easily every month.

Anyhoo, I was at a comics store for a newspaper shoot, and remembered that I'd been meaning to read the book, and bought a stack.

Wow, what a fun book! Great action and dialog and fun characters, plus female characters that don't make me want to shoot people at the mall! I really enjoyed them and have to go back to get the rest. Brian Reed, you are a talented fellow!

    Thanks!

I like this book a lot. It's nice to see Carol get some proper treatment. Brian keeps it interesting and fun. Very underrated, I think.

I have nothing against Ms. Marvel (other than her name... yeesh), but I would have found it hysterical if Gail started going off about what a waste of money that was or something.

Would she actually do that to another writer?

    Other than Bendis, I mean.

I love Ms. Marvel. The addition of Machine Man has only made this excellent book even more excellent.

Also, there is a female penciller/inking team taking over art chores with issue 25...which happens to be the start of her SECRET INVASION: THE INFILTRATION arc! Ms. Marvel rocks!

I hope this doesn't mean an end to Carol's wife-beater & boxer shorts bedtime outfit!
