I am not a materialistic person, aside from buying CDs, DVDs and clothes that don't make me look like crap, I could care less about having a fancy sofa, the best kitchen or bedding, ect. However, I love to give stuff, love watching people open gifts and, to be honest, I love opening gifts, I love surprises. So this question is not about materialism, rather the joy you'll get watching the person open and the look on their face and the fun of it all.
So, then, what gift giving style do you think is best, that big gift that will blow the person's mind and light up their face, "OMG! The entire Rock Band package! OMG!!!" Or a higher number of gifts smaller in price and scale but still cool things you know the person likes. As in "Wow, a live concert DVD of Bjork and a Walking Dead trade and the new Charles Schultz autobiography....sweet!"
