Sleeveless black concert t-shirts and ripped jeans are evergreens.

Hell, I always wear an undershirt with collared shirts. Wisks away moisture when it gets hot, adds an extra layer when you are cold, and keeps clothes in general cleaner longer.

Of course, I almost always wear collared shirts. It is rare that anyone will see me in just a t-shirt.

I only wear v-necks under a collared shirt when I go out, or lose the undershirt, depending on weather or what's clean, etc. It looks stuffy, not sexay.

Not bad. It's missing a fedora and a pack of Lucky Strikes. And lose the undershirt. Wear a white, grey, or black tanktop instead.

    The shirt and pants work.
A black t-shirt would be better, and would tie the whole look together.

Also, how do you feel about neckties? A black tie with white pinstripes would be solid. But I know not everybody is into ties..

Pinstripes on a tie with a pinstriped shirt?

If he is going to have a patterned tie with a patterned shirt, they need to be different patterns, different sizes, or preferably both.

Plus, a black tie would probably not be the same black as his pants, thereby clashing.
