Ok Mr. Moore,
You've talked me into sticking it out a little bit longer. I was leaning in that direction, but you sealed the deal. Thanks for the feed back.
For those interested, here's Randy Lander's review of the book:

He seems to share many of your concerns.

Clay, thank you for chiming in. I hope the guys will ask the questions here so we can ALL hear what you have to say.
We are quite fortunate to have the creators come by and respond to our reviews, answer our questions, and give us insight into where the book is going.
I hope everyone takes advantage of this and hopefully more creators will follow suit.

How's the progress on the other books I re-ordered? Did you lose the list? Because I lost the list when the board went down.
Also, when do I need to have in my Previews order form for May books?[/hijack]
That's cool. Just another bizarre coincidence that fed my natural paranoia, I guess.Originally Posted by BClayMoore

Since you're willing to answer some questions, let me ask you about my main critique of the book, which was that Jack didn't grab me as an altogether interesting character outside of the extraordinary events taking place around him. Are we supposed to see Jack as a sort of Hitchcockian everyman, a la Cary Grant in North By Northwest, or is there more to his personality that we're not seeing (perhaps aspects to his character you simply didn't want to reveal just yet)?

I'm sorry Clay but I think issue #1 was a serious mistep, if you had hinted at half those elements you would have had an interesting book and might have hooked me. What I read wasn't any of the above, it was the antithesis of the above.Originally Posted by BClayMoore
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your perspective, there are more great books on the shelves than I have money to buy. You don't have the the leeway to try readers patience, you have to blow them away as soon as the door opens. I may be proven wrong but what I read doesn't merit sticking around.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to drop in and say hi and address a few things.
First off I'm pretty honored that you guys decided to make the book your review of the week. The fact that you chose to review it over the many different options available to you is very flattering and you can trust me that the sentiment isn't lost on myself or Clay.
That said there seems to be a great deal of debate here. I think that Clay and I both understood that this might be a bit of an uphill battle in terms of hooking folks into this story, which is of course the challenge for any book these days. I think there are some valid criticisms here, some more so than others, but I also feel that the best way to approach this series is to look at the first couple of issues as if they are the first chapters of a novel. Questions will be answered, things will be revealed, all in due time. Clay has already hinted at some of the wild things planned, some of which we've (believe it or not) already foreshadowed in the first issue, and I think that those of you interested will recieve quite the payoff.
Most of the comparisons and comments on the art have been very flattering. Many of the artists mentioned are people I consider very talented and it's nice to even be mentioned in the same conversation with them. Hopefully I can continue to improve and continue to in the very least give you interesting and exciting images to read, I promise I'll try my best.
So stick around. This book is headed somewhere and I think jumping off now is a big mistake.
Of course I'm biased and privy to all the kewl inside info![]()

One more note--
If you haven't snagged the book, I'd look for it quickly.
I just got word that it sold out today. You still might find it on your shop's shelves, but once it's gone, it's gone.
