It's funny how the designer is telling them all about the technology that's built into the Thor outfit and all Tony can say is "I don't want to attack a friend".
He doesn't seemed concerned with all the technology that A:he doesn't have, or B: could have been stolen from him.
But damn if that designer doesn't look familiar.

I was thinking that about Tony as well, but I figure it's just because the team was getting all wrapped up in Loki's lies.

There's so much of Millar's stuff that can be hit or miss with me, even in the course of the same story, but this title, across the board, has been nothing but gold.

3 kick ass splash pages

i know not everyone likes the splash pages, but it looks like he puts a lot of work into each splash

I didn't like Ultimates vol 1. There, I said it. After the first arc it tanked and tanked hard. ANd this is not about the shipping, I read it all in one sitting. I just didn't like it much.

However, I'm loving the new one...except for one thing. I hate Cap more with each passing issue. Fury's got a death grip on his balls. Really, either SHIELD has dirt on him or he just has no mind of his own, because everytime Nick says jump he says "How High?" I realize this might be addressed, but for the time being it would be nice if he had even a slight question about anything he does. He just takes it. The others at least have the ability to think clearly about these things. The end of this issue was a perfect example. Instead of, I don't know, thinking, he's just all "I'm gonna kick Thor's ass" even though

A. He's there only cause Fury said
and
B. He's either too dumb or too pumped to realize that Thor could atomize him by snapping his fingers.

But of course I have to add that having Loki there kicks ass.

but cap knows thor aint gonna kill anyone- and thor knows he doesnt wanna kill anyone- he just wants to convince them that he's sane. cap thinks he's just a regular guy under the supersuit.

and as for cap being brainwashed, he's america's poster boy- im sure he loves it- and im sure fury knows it- thats why he's his lapdog. cap will do anything for america and he thinks fury knows whats right.

I really think Thor is a God. He's just way to powerful to be created by scientific program. He frickin teleported a world exploding bomb some place so far away it didn't have any real effect. I can't wait for the next issue. I really think Thor is going to hand the Ultimates their nuts in a sack. Wel I hope so anyway. It just be cool to see.

i agree w/jonny, cap is a good little soldier that will always follow orders because his superiors know what is right. that is why they are in charge. unfalteringly loyal to the end. plus he is from an era where those qualities were held up as the gold standard for american soldiers to aspire to. so im sure he has a HUGE ego.
