Thread: Great or Not Great?

    Great or Not Great?

    • James Dean
    • Jim Morrison
    • Jeff Buckley
    • TuPac
    • Notorious B.I.G.
    • Marilyn Monroe

Basically, people who ‘died before their time’.
Personally, I have a hard time saying someone was ‘brilliant’ or ‘genius’ or whatever based on a limited body of work (I’m excluding all the shit that comes out after someone dies – Tupac releases more albums than some of my fav bands…and they’re alive!)

The guys named Jim were pretty great. The rest, not so much.

The list is missing John Lennon, who was great, and was "taken too soon."

Agreed about Lennon on both counts, but his body of work before his death was enough to establish his status -- so I didn't have to be included.
